Domy Reiter-Soffer’s set and costumes designs of “La Mer” for the Dance Theater of Harlem season at the Metropolitan Opera House was most effective. A luminous, expansive Backdrop makes a bold statement of the theme with costumes- painted leotards That compliments the style of the whole production.
Jennifer Dunning- The New York Times
“Yerma” was premiered at Theatre a la Scala last night was extraordinary, The sparse décor which depicted a Spanish village was most effective. Also the extended wide hammock was symbolic of a womb and Yerma’s domain. When she eventually kills her husband in the Hammock it was a dramatic moment of sheer theatre.
“Chariots of Fire” choreographer and designer Domy Reiter-Soffer’s premiere for the Chicago Ballet at the Opera House was sheer theater at its best, based on the Greek legend of Phaedra. His impressive Décor and costumes served the production and gave it a strong impact. In the opening when the cloaks worn by Phaedra and Theseus fly to become the décor it was coup de Theatre.
Anne Barzel- Chicago Tribune
Dance Theater of Harlem’s “Equus” was a revelation, at Lincoln State Theater. Domy Reiter-Soffer’s striking décor and costumes were impressive and served the production extremely well. The concave hollow painted scrim gave space and wide range of possibilities without being overpowering. The costume designs of the horses were brilliant, no masks or heavy hooves just cut out painted leotards that gave easy movement for the horses.
Anna Kisselgoff- New York Times
“Equus” Premiere at the Sidney Opera House by the Australian Ballet was indeed monumental in their large repertoire…..
Domy Reiter-Soffer’s Décor and costumes design made a strong impact and served this compelling production extremely well. The semi circular scrim with a middle opening gave a vast expansive world of both the psychiatrist and the boy.
Nadine Amadio- The Sunday Telegraph.
Lady of the Camellias’ design and costumes by Domy Reiter- Soffer for Hong Kong Ballet at the Cultural Centre were both in Art Nouveau style, most imaginative and beautiful evoke wonderfully the Absinthe-soaked Parisian atmosphere. The scenes and acts changed effortlessly without stops, which added to the rhythm of the whole production. Very impressive and most elegant.
Hong Kong- Morning Post

Domy Reiter-Soffer is not only the choreographer of “White Snake” premiered at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre, but also an accomplished designer. His décor for the whole production was light, and impressionistic of this Chinese legend. The acts and scenes run seamlessly without ever realizing that they happened. His skeletal Pagoda was an imaginative structure that gave depth and identity to this impressive work.

Ohio Ballet- The Turn of the Screw
Apart from the extraordinary powerful Ballet “The Turn of the Screw” Décor and costume Designs by Domy Reiter-Soffer proved to be effective and imaginative. The Painted Backdrop depicting the Manor is tilted and lopsided giving a weird impression of a distorted world. The scenes move effortlessly giving a dynamic continuity and powerful landscape.

The Alberta Ballet- Review
“TimeTrip Orpheus” a compelling work and Production. Décor and costume design by Domy Reiter-Soffer were remarkable and most striking. The unusual interpretation of the legend of Orpheus and Eurydice is told in a modern form. The Disco scene in the opening was compelling, later the magical backdrop which gave infinity and panoramic view of the underworld with imaginative costumes and striking scenery.
