A cockerel crowd in front of the curtain as the overture of the Ballet "Good Morning Mrs Borso" choreographed by Domy Reiter-Soffer began. A beginning that made the audience roar with delight as the curtain opened to a hectic pace, with a house wife trying to get her unseen husband to work, juggling with breakfast utensils toast, cornflakes boxes and plates to a visually hysterical end, when she eventually throws his Brief case to the wings and collapses on the sofa exhausted. It was a theatrical bravura worthy of a silent film, and brought the house down. Mrs Borso dreamt on, of healthy house men and women to do her house chores while she moved and danced with a Hoover and head scarf dusting the ghostly figures she imagined while at work. There were many funny scenes and close to tears laughter as Mrs Borso chose to spend her day. Dressing up and dancing to Samba- cha-cha as she accomplished her work, and a funny sexy duet with a handsome (unseen to her) macho man wishing it was her husband.
The Corps was extraordinarily choreographed with clever theatrical twists and turns that gave a wonderful foil to this funny tale of imagination and house hold imagery.
While Mrs Borso spent the whole day imagining, she managed to lifted her daily routine to an exciting time. The Bat Dor Dancers danced with much gusto to an interesting passages of funny clever choreography that made the evening most enjoyable. The Ballet ended with the husband arriving home much to Mrs Borso's surprise.
An unusual work for choreographer Domy Reiter-Soffer who is well known for his dramatic works. The audience reacted accordingly and gave the dancers ovation that rocked the Cameri Theatre's ceiling.
