Mirage
Out all the evening's choreographies which gave a special weight, serious and poetic drama were by the Israeli choreographer Domy Reiter- Soffer. In both these Ballets "Mirage" (world premiered 1980) to the excellent Music by Seter "Hagut" and "Nutorni ed Alba" a world premiere to the expressive music by John McCabe, the choreographer demonstrates a concept of movement and form of the highest level which fuses totally with the expressive content and with the style, lyricism and the spirituality of "Mirage" a stormy expression in a new work make up the essence of these Ballets. There was a sense of truth and the beautiful Dancing of Peter O'brien in Mirage and especially of Reda Sheta in Nuttorni ed Alba. But it is mainly Jeannette Ordman who provided the excellent example of expressive and sensitive dance in which every movement speaks of drama and excitement a real beautiful evening of dance.
