Women-Dance Kaleidoscope

“The Premiere of “Women” performed to Boulez “Pli Selon Pli” score provided some fascinating contrasts between beautiful groupings and tension filled movements, elegant yet powerful. The results were emotional yet ritualistic with astounding choreography and sense of theatre. The message concern women seeking freedom with Karen Mahoney Littman leading the way brilliantly as were the rest of the cast”.

“The most innovative piece on the program was “Women” choreographed by Domy Reiter-Soffer to the effective music by Pierre Boulez “Pli Selon Pli”.
There is the element of the strange, the new, and the beautiful too in “Women”.
Performed by Littman and Jaffee in the leading roles with the other ladies of the company in support. The dancers depict the struggles of five women against conformity in a “regionalized” environment. The exhibition of supple grace is stimulating and powerful, however you interpret the thematic content. A worthy piece of theatre and moving performances from all concerned. Dance Kaleidoscope has definitely a winner and a great addition to their repertoire”.
